50 things for your teenager When I was growing up, my mom made it a point to never take away the magic we felt at holidays when we were younger. Well into our adult years, we received a stocking full of small gifts at Christmas, a bunch of pink and red covered chocolate treats at Valentine’s Day, and an Easter basket full of trinkets and goodies at Easter. And now in my own house, I am continuing the tradition. Thing is, it much more difficult to find fun things to give teens at Easter when the majority of seasonal treats are geared towards kids under the age of 10. anything that is traditional to give at Easter. So with a little help from other parents and some searching on my own, I have put together my own list of things, edible and not, a teenager might want to discover in their basket Easter morning. NOTE: Is 50 not enough? Be sure to check out my new list, 100+ things for your teenager Easter basket! I am a teenager and I have to say this is a great list. Also, kids LOVE candy. I 15 years old and still love little kids toys because they help me reminisce on my child hood. Ear buds are a great idea as well, and phone cases. I have found a nice easy custom idea for teens. With the advent of texting I find the kids like short and sweet messages. For Easter I have done favorite scriptures on keytags that the kids can carry around easily. With the ability to make the backgrounds whatever you wish you can design it to suit the teen. cheap jerseys Not too pricey either so you can add these to the basket with your words to live by for the kids or even get a gift card and let them make their own. Every Easter I do not give baskets but I give their gifts in something they can use. This year I have decided for the little ones I will get an umbrella and open it and fill it with their goodies. The bigger ones I think a cute fashionable tote they can use in their rooms! We also do a family by opening a special egg announcing the charity we made an Easter Donation to. Finally, we invite anyone we hear of, without a place to go, to join us for Easter dinner. Makes for a wonderfully meaningful celebration. I have 3 boys, 5, 12, and 16. My oldest loves jelly beans (well they all do), so I make sure to get plenty of those (a couple bags of Belly Flops from Jelly Belly do the trick and are a little more budget friendly since they love Jelly Belly). Also beef jerky, chips, old fashioned sodas and candies (I find at Cracker Barrell), they are in scouts so I have also done fire starters, compasses, smaller camping gadgets, etc. I think the older two would be pretty sad if they didn have a basket with at least a few treats (jelly beans) in it I have 3 teenage boys, 1 teenage girl, and 1 boy that is married I just barely stopped giving him baskets lol. Every year I get a hotel room 2 now that they aren little and we invite friends and family for swimming, an Easter egg hunt, pizza, (sometimes I cook the traditional stuff on Easter day and sometimes we go to Easter brunch) prizes, and all kinds of nonsense. I still give them baskets, but I like to give them containers they can use after Easter for storage like to go to Michael when they have sales. I usually can find wooden crates for the boys and decorative boxes for my daughter, then I hit the Dollar Tree for our usual spray string, and of course Easter grass filler, sometimes they have cute stuffed animals also and bubbles for the little cousins. I always give them some Lindt truffles and bunnies and Gertrude Hawk rice krispie treats. I like to do theme baskets like cooking, photography, I did James Bond one year and Kohl has 007 cologne, I also did beach themed another year, reading themed, and am doing a garden adventure theme for toddler nephews this year with rubber catapillars, stuffed frogs, wooden magnifying glasses, and bug shaped candies. Cheap Nike Air Max Shoes UK I used to do an egg trail to their baskets when they were really little and they still beg me to do egg trails, to what I don know lol, because they can find their own baskets. No matter how old they get, we look forward to spending time together and enjoying the Easter holiday. My kids are teenagers too and they still expect something to get in the Easter. I love make them happy so for me it also fun, especially when I looking for really intersting idea. Every year, firstly I consider what would be the best choice for them. Personalized gift make they know how important they are for me and that I take care and know a lot about them For example, last time I bought a star from kingdom of universe for my son who crazy about astrology.
